Prior to establishing R J Luce Associates, LLC, Mr Luce was the Vice President and Project Manager for Mike Rosen & Associates PC (MRA), a medium sized architectural firm, and was in charge of operations. In addition, he provided the construction administration
for the firm’s projects. Mr. Luce is an
expert in the area of commercial, retail and multi-family residential housing
projects. He also works with the State
Housing Authorities in the States of Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland to
provide affordable housing.
After
the Bachelor of Architecture program at Drexel University in Philadelphia, he
became experienced in the construction industry. Working on projects as
diverse as the Philadelphia International Airport, hospitals, commercial, and multi-family
residential, he brings years of a background in design/build firms and
construction management to Mike Rosen Architects. Luce concentrates in
commercial design, multi-family design, project management, contract
administration, estimating, and specification writing.
Prior to MRA, for
over 15 years, Luce served as Director of Architecture for a major regional
home builder located in the Delaware Valley. He oversaw the design and construction of hundreds of award winning home designs.
Since
1991, Mr. Luce has designed, and oversaw the construction of 23 affordable
residential projects in the states of MD, DE, and PA. Clients included the MD
Department of Housing and Community Development, the DE State Housing
Authority, and The PA Housing Finance Agency, as well as various projects for
the Philadelphia Housing Authority.
In addition, he has been a construction
industry advisor for local colleges, and was recently Chairman of his town's
Planning Commission and spent 6 years as a Warminster Township Supervisor, of
which he served over 2 years as the Chairman of the Board, in a town of 35,000 residents.
